What an exciting time! The Langit-Bagro Family are eagerly awaiting the arrival of a new baby girl!

Thank you, Third, Tina, Iñigo and Cara, for such a beautiful day!

I thank you God for this most amazing day,

for the leaping greenly spirits of trees,

and for the blue dream of sky

and for everything which is natural,

which is infinite,

which is yes.

E.E. Cummings

Happiness is holding someone in your arms

and knowing you hold the whole world.

Any day spent with you is my favorite day.

So today is my new favorite day.

A.A. Milne

Before loving you, love, nothing was mine:

I hesitated through the streets and things:

nothing mattered or had a name:

the world was of the air that I awaited.

Pablo Neruda

Love planted a rose,

and the world turned sweet.

You are the finest, loveliest, tenderest, and most beautiful person I have ever known

What an incredibly good looking family!

It was an extraordinarily hot summer, even for us here in the tropics. So naturally, there had to be a deluge on the day of our shoot. It turned out wonderful, with Audrey so luminous against the rain, eating Shakey’s pizza and contemplating names for her firstborn. I worked with the always amazing Monique Jaramillo-Señeres here, and many times during the day we’d forget that this dainty little creature here, so exquisite and tiny and radiant, was seven months pregnant.

Here’s a toast to the rainy season, the first days of class, and to mothers all around the world.

There is a secret in our culture,

and it’s not that childbirth is painful,
it’s that women are strong.

Love, love,

I have hung our cave with roses,
With soft rugs,

The last of Victoriana.
Let the stars
Plummet to their dark address,

Let the mercuric
Atoms that cripple drip
Into the terrible well,

You are the one
Solid the spaces lean on, envious.

Oh, what strange wonderful clocks women are. They nest in Time. They make flesh that holds fast and binds eternity.

I could not get my fill of looking.
There should be a song for women to sing at this moment or a prayer to recite. But perhaps there is none because there are no words strong enough to name that moment.

Love falls in love with love;
comes like an echo sounding back,
searches its mirrored shadow
within a look.

Doesn’t she look incredible? Many thanks again to the always amazing Monique Jaramillo-Señeres for Audrey’s awesome hair and makeup.

Congratulations Audrey and Marvin!!! I cannot wait to meet the little one!

Ruth and Anthony are two of the most amazing, most hilarious people you’ll ever meet, and I’m not just saying this because I personally witnessed the backseat of our speeding car transform into the backstage of a runway show, with full hair and makeup and reflective discussions on stallions, godfathers and missionary camps transpiring between horse riding, tree climbing, sunset chasing and swing making (as in, we were making swings).

It is always an event every time these two find their way back to the Philippines, and I am rewarded every second, as a friend and as a photographer, with the love and time and trust they give me. Everything you see here is exactly that. Their love. Their time. Themselves. And their complete confidence in me, to go barefoot on sharp, slippery rocks during high tide, make out at high noon in long sleeves in 36 degrees Celsius siesta weather, and stay still and smiling for the cameras while their horses relieve themselves. I love you De Castros. Thank you. I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day, and I am beyond excited at the days ahead. ♥

Thank you Bong and CJ of Threelogy! Please watch their wonderful video of this day here!

You know how this is:
if I look
at the crystal moon, at the red branch
of the slow autumn at my window,
if I touch
near the fire
the impalpable ash
or the wrinkled body of the log,
everything carries me to you,
as if everything that exists,
aromas, light, metals,
were little boats
that sail
toward those isles of yours that wait for me.

Ruth and Anthony got married in Boracay on February 13, 2014! Congratulations!!! Photos coming soon from the phenomenal Nelwin Uy! ♥

‘Tis said of love that it sometimes goes, sometimes flies; runs with one, walks gravely with another; turns a third into ice, and sets a fourth in a flame: it wounds one, another it kills: like lightning it begins and ends in the same moment: it makes that fort yield at night which it besieged but in the morning; for there is no force able to resist it.

Miguel De Cervantes

Love is the only bow of life’s dark cloud. It is the Morning and Evening Star. It shines upon the cradle of the babe, and sheds its radiance upon the quiet tomb. It is the Mother of Art, inspirer of poet, patriot, and philosopher. It is the air and light of every heart, builder of every home, kinder of every fire on every hearth, it was the first dream of immortality. It fills the world with melody. Love is the magician, the enchanter, that changes worthless things to joy, and makes right royal kings of common clay.

Robert Green Ingersoll

That is the true season of love; when we believe that we alone can love, that no one could ever have loved as much before, and that no one will ever love in the same way again.
